Today we’re proud to announce the launch of EARF’s redesigned About site — a dedicated home that explains who we are, what EARF does, and how to get the most out of the platform.

EARF began as a place to bring the planet to people in real time: live cameras, maps, weather, and context. The new About site complements the main EARF experience by giving clear, approachable explanations of features, practical guidance, and links to the support resources users need.

Why we built the About site

Our mission is to make the world accessible, discoverable, and useful. As EARF has grown, so has the scope of what we offer — and we realized many users wanted a single, well-structured place that explains the platform's capabilities, use cases, and where to find help. The About site is that place.

It is designed for three complementary platforms we maintain:

  • EARF (Main Platform): The live, interactive map and camera network. This is where users experience EARF in real time — explore locations, view live feeds, and interact with map layers.
  • About (This Site): A focused guide to EARF — what we are, how the platform works, our product philosophy, and curated articles that explain features and recommended workflows.
  • Help & Support Center: For troubleshooting, account help, and step-by-step how-tos. The Help Center provides searchable documentation, FAQs, and contact channels for support and feedback.

What you’ll find on the About site

  • Clear feature descriptions — Cameras, map layers, live feeds, weather integration, and the tools that make EARF unique.
  • Short walkthroughs and examples to help new users get started quickly.
  • Technical notes and integrations for power users and partners (APIs, data sources, and third-party services).
  • News and updates explaining recent changes, product improvements, and community highlights.
  • Information about GAIA — our AI companion that enhances maps and offers contextual guidance across the platform.

Built for discovery and clarity

We structured the About site so visitors can find answers without switching contexts. Each page is concise and written with two audiences in mind:

  • People who want a quick orientation — short explanations and links to the live platform.
  • People who want depth — technical details, integration notes, and resources for advanced use.

How this helps you

  • If you’re new to EARF, the About site will get you started in minutes — where to look, how to navigate, and what to expect.
  • If you’re an existing user, the site documents features and best practices so you can get more value from the platform.
  • If you’re a partner or developer, find integration guidance and the contact points to get started.

Feedback and support

We built this site so it evolves with the community. If something is missing or unclear, please use the Help & Support Center to submit feedback or request clarifications. Your input shapes future updates.
